Hurts your SOS but makes it less likely a Pac-12 team will be in the playoffs. Game far from over but not in good shape.

I'll take the SOS hit to remove another one loss team. Heck USC may win out and take Stanford's place as a signature win

Doesn't Alabamas SOS take a hit to? Looks like that much overrated one-dimensional LSU is going down at home

If Helton was coaching USC they would of beaten Stanford. WASU should of beaten them and NW did beat them.

If Mariota was playing tonight they'd of scored 50 or 60.

Wow, two fourth qtr unforced fumbles by Hogan in the red zone, and they will still get one last chance to pull this one out.

9 trips into the Red Zone against the 119th ranked defense and you supposedly have the premier Power Running game in the country. And you get beat at home by an unranked team?

ND brings their A game they are way better than that team.

Then it should be no problem for the irish then huh?

I didn't say it wouldn't be a problem. So don't be intellectually lazy and dishonest. I said ND brings their A game they are better than Stanford.

I also said Stanford was in the Red Zone 9 times and only scored 36 points against the 119 th ranked scoring defense in the country.

Are you a Stanford fan? You seem a little upset with the loss?

Not at all.

Just curious that you blast Stanford for Red Zone issues when you don't have to look far to see they are in good company.

But I do like that Stanford is a program with character,. Much like ND

Stanford is in good company with whom? And stating statistical facts is not "blasting" anyone

What does ND Red Zone performance have to do with Stanford losing to Oregon tonight?

And ND has scored 6 TD'S in their last 6 trips into the Red Zone.

I know. The guy I quoted was glad to remove Stanford from the pool of one loss teams. That does nothing for ND.

Oh yes, it does a lot for Notre Dame. Stanford's loss increases the odds that the Pac 12 champ won't be in the playoffs, thus freeing a spot for Notre Dame.

I thought you were going to drop the intellectual dishonesty?

Stanford is ranked 32nd in Red Zone Offense. ND 90th.

Or a Big 12 team with a better SOS.

ND beating a one lose Stanford team at the end of the season would of been fresh in the minds of the voters

I'm glad to see the improvement in the red zone for ND these last 2 games. I think the biggest difference has been utilizing Kizer's arm and his legs, making it much more challenging for the defense.

Intellectual dishonesty is you changing the subject from Stanford to ND. So tell me if Stanford is such a superior Red Zone team "statistically" Why were they 4 for 9 against a really poor Oregon defense? And fail to reach the End Zone against NW?

Easy

"Any given Saturday"!

And it's not changing the subject. I just point out it's hard to tear down a team that did poor in the red zone when someone can point out the same about ND

You're a,really dishonest person and a poor debater. This thread was about "Stanford losing tonight and I pointed out they lost tonight because they were terrible in the Red Zone against a poor defense and they have a relatively unathletic defense that struggles to make plays in space.

Apparently that hurt your feelings and you felt the need to interject ND into the conversation as a way to rationilize and justify Stanfords terrible loss.

Lets put it in term's your mommy would of used to teach you.

Don't throw bricks when you live in a glass house.

unless you believe their poor performance against Oregon means there's no way they can they do anything against the Irish?

If you took my statistical analysis of Stanfords Red Zone performance as "throwing bricks" you are clearly a thin skinned Stanford fan with maturity issues.

You need to stop lying because I never said "Stanford can't do anything against ND". I believe ND is a better team, with better players and if they play to their ability they will beat Stanford. Apparently that offended you as well.

Truthfully I would expect this type of push back of my posts on a Stanford board, but this is a ND board and you are obviously deeply upset about Stanford losing to an unranked team at home and being knocked out of playoff contention.

Any Given Saturday right?

I never said you said. I've stated "unless" which is a question therefore no lie.

SO if your point was Stanford sucked today because they had a bad RZ performance then ok

Better players?

WR's I agree ND has one if not the best in the nation.

RB's I don't thing so

O-line = even

QB? depends on which Hogan shows up.

Defense?

Statistically Stanford is better but their red zone defense is bad

Being a Marine nothing you can say will ever offend me.

But I will give one advantage Stanford has beside playing at home is with this lose is no pressure on them now

Oh that's right only Kumbaya. No reason to let facts get in the way

ND still plays Stanford. ND beating Stanford would have knocked them out of contention anyway. The only other team alive is (was) Utah, and now they have been eliminated. Utah probably wasn't going to be in contention with ND anyway because they got dominated by USC while ND won by 10 points.

It would have been better for Stanford to win that game.
