Significant in that Oklahoma St. , Baylor and Iowa people may be saying, "see, we can also do it against good teams." Problem they have is ND has been doing it against better competition all year. Besides, Baylor and Iowa people have to admit, when K.State and Indiana are your best competition to date, your schedule is very poor to date.
If NAVY beats Houston the Irish may wind up playing 3 of the big 6 bowl competitors on their schedule (Clemson Stanford and) the winner of the American conf champ game that would than be Navy Vs Temple. The midshipman have Houston, and the awful SMU and Tulsa teams as well as Army left to play
the highest rated non big 5 conf team in the polls is an automatic berth remember. and by beating Houston, Memphis and than Temple themselves the Naval Academy would actually end up helping a one loss Irish SOS in a big way. same could be said for Temple....but Karma has me rooting for Navy
