Do they drop in the polls if teams behind them play good and win?

The committee will go ahead and give them the trophy and not select a Final Four. I mean who can figure out after 2 years how, why, or what this committee is going to do.

If Iowa loses today and they beat Mich St in playoff Irish are in if they beat Stanford

BTW if Iowa wins by 4pts do they drop two spots ? We did...Iowa's offense eats shit . If ND played a clean game they put up 35 on BC and the committee knows all of this !!!

We won't have to worry about this. Nebraska stinks. There QB is an embarrassment. Continually just throwing the ball up for grabs. Yet they keep trotting him out there

Yep but the degree of any Iowa State or Michigan State win doesn't metter. If they both win the Big 10 has a spot.

All teams playing in Conference Championship games have the edge........13 &0, 12 & 1, it doesn't matter.

Funny how the announcers made it seem like Iowa played a good team today. Nebraska will not even go to a bowl this year. Yet, they used this game to say why Iowa belongs in the top 4.

I picked up on the same vibe also. The thing that got me was when they said that a 5-7 Nebraska team could go to a bowl if there are not enough 6 win teams to fill the bowls. I mean really? This is what the bowl games have become? It is time to scrap or modify the bowl system and go to a 8 team playoff.

Iowa is being compared with other undefeated teams, if they were ahead of other undefeated teams they could indeed drop in the rankings.

I have heard considerable discussion how the bowls will be filled; 80 teams needed. Have heard discussion about NCAA considering allowing 5-7 teams go to a bowl if there are not enough teams with 6 wins. No decision yet, and I have not heard how the various 5-7 teams will be chosen (I suppose the bowls in question will get to select the teams).

You're yapping about Iowa after Navy, ND's signature win, got pummeled by Houston?

What about our signature loss?

Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Iowa has to go 13-0 by beating Ohio State, Michigan or MSU in the B1G CG to get to the playoffs, no reasonable person could consider the Hawkeyes unworthy if the finish 13-0.

Yes if Iowa already lost one. Iowa will play for Big 10 Championship game. If Iowa play MSU for Big 10 Championship game. That going to be great for ND. I think MSU will beat Iowa.

A Big Ten team is going to be in the playoff no matter the result of the Big Ten Championship. Regular season for Iowa is 12-0 and if ND wins against Stanford they are 11-1. You want to punish Iowa for having the Big a Ten Championship? Not going to happen. Your signature win over Pitt and Navy is nothing, Rutgers beat them consistently when we played them. Northwestern, the sixth best team in the Big Ten, beat Stanford.

I would have liked to see Iowa play Clemson, in a monsoon. That was the first game I've seen Iowa play and I'm not that impressed. The Nebraska QB all but gift wrapped that game.

What the hell does Rutgers playing Navy and Pitt years ago have to do with anything? Rutgers is not even a topic on this board, or any board for that matter. Go play somewhere else kid, your opinion means nothing here. BTW, Navy would crush you about as bad as Ohio State did. Good job squeaking out that win over hapless Army! What bowl is Rutgers going to BTW?

Here is how I would put it.

In 2012 all of the Domers on here kept screaming 'We are undefeated!'. Even though they had plenty of close games. PITT, Stanford, even Oklahoma was VERY close until the closing minutes of the 4th.

If you were cheering for ND to be up in the polls for being undefeated in 2012. You can't be busting on Iowa for being undefeated in 2015. Next week will tell us all we need to know about them

No. Based upon what we saw yesterday, an good quarterback with a decent running game is going to give Iowa all sorts of problems. Clemson would score 30+ on Iowa. Clemson has a solid run defense. Iowa wouldn't have been able to run the same play over and over like they did yesterday and run for 20+ or long touchdowns. Nebraska is a horrible football team, and Iowa beat them by 8 points. MSU will beat PSU and beat Iowa. They will then get stomped in the first round of the playoff.

in a morons eyes like your maybe

Name calling? The committee already had them at 4 before they finished the regular schedule 12-0. It's going to be 4 or higher if they win the B1G CG. Maybe ND fans should ask the administration to go all in with the ACC so the Irish have chance in the future to win a championship game to make it to the playoffs instead of whining about a 12 win division champion that needs to get win number 13 to earn a playoff berth on the field.
