Many on here are calling for MF to leave. We need a different coach. But look around the landscape of college football today. Riley who was the next big thing at USC is now under major scrutiny. We all know the hard times at Texas A&M with Jimbo Fisher. He was proclaimed to bring them a NC, even after buying the top recruiting class, he can't win. Dabo is finding his own scrutiny now at Clemson. Franklin at Penn St. can't win the big one and is under his own scrutiny. It's only going to get tougher and tougher for teams to sustain success when the super conferences start forming next year. Even Day at Ohio St. is under scrutiny for not beating Michigan. Harbaugh was under major scrutiny until he finally broke through against OSU.

Point I'm trying to make is give MF and his staff some time. It's not easy winning week in and week out, especially at ND. ND will always have a bullseye on their back because they are ND. No matter what a teams record is, they are going to try and play their best to beat them. Look at the NFL with the 49ers and Eagles. They lost to teams they should have easily beat recently. If you can't see the positive direction and sustainability of this program under MF and his staff than I don't know what you're looking at. Would it be nice to be in the NC hunt this year. Hell ya, but it's harder than it has ever been to consistently do that with our recruiting restrictions, transfer portal, and location. Despite all that we are recruiting at a high level and that's because of MF and his staff.
