It might be a good idea to maybe get rid of the season ticket holder program.CLEARLY the season ticket holders sold their tickets for the money. It look like a Georgia home game not a ND home game. When we played Florida St in 93' their was one section for the Florida St people. Last night was a sign of what Notre Dame fans think of ND football.

It is called Capitalism. The tickets are way overpriced to begin with. Stop the money grab ND.

Guys I get what you're saying and I want the Irish to have every seat in the house, but if someone was going to pay me $1,100 for a ticket, I'd be hard pressed to pass that up.

Posters in the know. How much is a season ticket plan? I thought impossible to buy season tickets as non alumnus?

I agree, it was embarrassing yesterday seeing all the GA fans. I was there yesterday and in 93 at Fl St game and you are correct they had one small section back then. GA fans were everywhere, very sad

There's only around 11k season ticket seats. Per ticket of those season tickets average between $600- $1000 because of "building fund". Speaking with many of these season ticket owners, they try and sell biggest game to help offset rediculous charges. Most would not sell if ticket prices weren't so outrageous. The better question is how are all of these ticket agencies buying up all the tickets? Between Alumni lottery, students, employees, corporate tickets, and opposing alloted tickets (8k) the stadium used to be mostly all Irish. My suspicion is that the lack of demand because of poor product, rediculous season ticket and general admission prices has caused ND to sell to these brokers which in turn sell for big $ to well traveled schools. So even if all of the season ticket owners sold their tickets, you're only talking about 11k. Again what is happening to the other 40k not accounted for? More people would buy season tickets and actually go to the games if prices weren't so high. My opinion of course.

My season tickets are in the cheapest area...4 tix...$6800 to renew this year which includes a parking pass. ND sold out to NBC a long time ago, and the slippery slope has become so oiled that the administration can't help themselves to charge more & more every year. You say, "Why buy?" Because I resell them to an alum who wants tickets to every game. I pass on the full cost too. Doesn't seem to faze him. I haven't used my own tickets in over 5 years because I can no longer afford to go. IF I ever go again, I'll scalp on campus or buy on one of the ticket broker sites.

When said alum realizes ND is ripping him off, he'll likely back out. Then, I will be able to give them up. Sad because they've been in my family since the early 1960's. My dad bought them the last year they offered them to the public. The greed @ ND is embarrassing. A small part of me is happy the football team can't win a damn thing anymore. When you sell your soul to the devil, the day comes when you need to pay up.
