It seems to me that BK and staff are being very aggressive in recruiting some good DB's this class. ND really needs guys that can play right away and play well. If this defense was not giving up big plays they would be outstanding.

Yeah, it seems like every game ND gives up one big on a gimmick or trick play. That coverage on the double reverse flee flicker in the Virginia was sickening. There seemed to be a lack of discipline early during the season, but they are playing better and better. ND does need a top level shutdown cornerback prospect desperately.

Russell isn't going pro I do not believe. Crawford if he recovers from the ACL will be the favorite in the Nickel. The starter spot open will be Shumates. Depth is a concern however I see them taking 3 more DBs probably 2 CB/1S or 1S/1CB and a swing player.
