I would imagine he has a medical red-shirt year from his Freshman season as he was injured in pre-season and did not play.

He's remarkable. I remember reading so many posts, here but mostly elsewhere, suggesting he would not be able to return and play at the same level, given the nature of his last injury. The conversation went along the lines that he is smallish to begin with, and his quick feet and explosive first step were essential to his game, and he would no longer have that, etc... As we've seen, he has returned as a vital piece of our defense, and making plays all over the field. The kid is one hell of a football player.
