My quest is this for the top four:

Bama

Georgia

PSU/OSU

IRISH

Bama vs Dogs in SEC championship. Loser only has one loss and stays top four.

Winner of today's PSU vs OSU is in.

ND strength of schedule gets them in. No way a 12-0 TCU gets in over ND. Even 13-0 with conference championship. B12 is awful, Iowa ST. Is proving that. Cyclones could beat the frogs today.

Clemson has one loss to a unrated Cuse team.

It depends on how Clem finish. If they blow everyone out and finish with 1 loss . It would be hard to keep them out of the playoffs. I don't think Big 12 or Pac 12 are in. More so the Pac 12 i believe they are already eliminated. If we finish 11-1 ,then two conferences champions will be out.

We have seen an undeserving OSU team get into the playoffs I wouldn't be surprised if Clemson finds their way in if they go undefeated the rest of the year.
The powers that be might keep the Irish out to force them into a conference sooner than later.
No conference ties will hurt them .

This very well could be the reality. If we finish 11 and 1. Say Georgia finishes undefeated, making our only loss 1 point to the no. 1 team and we don't make the playoffs, we would almost be forced to join a conference.

First of all it's DAWGS
Secondly there is no way if Clemson wins out, they are left out. We've got to find a different way in. Through the Big 12 winner spot if it's not an undefeated team.

Maybe when the dust settles it will be through the big 10 spot as that winner isn't undefeated. I don't know.

Just don't count on going to the playoff in place of Clemson if Clemson wins out. Won't happen.

Never..
Ever.
Need to just be undefeated next time.
Notre Dame LOVES it's independence.

Rightfully so.

I just don’t see any way the selection committee eliminates three conference champions from the playoffs. Hell, I think ND will have a hard enough time being selected without two from one conference. Assuming you are wrong and the SEC only gets one spot, this still means at least two of the big five conference champs are not in the playoffs. At this point, I really am a lot more concerned about ND being able to win out, and today’s game may be the biggest obstacle to that.

Can't wait to see how it all shakes out, with or w/out ND being in the mix. Late October and November always throw a few wrenches in the engines.
