Romeo leads the team in SACKS with 9 !! He should easily get to double digits next week !!

This Notre Dame team is flat out Loaded !! Romeo is better than Prince Shembo without any buzz !!

The Committee and I know the FEAR that Romeo the hearts of opposing quarterbacks and offensive coordinators !!

---ROMEO IS A BEAST !!!!!!!!!! The Dline for the IRISH has arrived !!

--BELIEVE !!!

Arrived?? Better but still need to get more playmakers to contend for National Championship each year!!

I was thinking how no one has mentioned Isaq lately... We can only wonder what he could have done this year...

The only thing I don't like seeing is him in coverage. We are dropping d lineman more in coverage which is fine but I see romeo out there too much. He is able to drop to stop a quick pass but he cannot run with slot wrs.

D Lineman dropping out is part of BVG's Zone Blitz packages. A very nice change of pace to simply lining up 4 guys and rushing. Alabama on years they do not have an elite pass rush (Not his year) will use quite a bit of zone "dogs". It is relatively safe because you generally play 3 deep coverage behind the blitz.

it's all about causing confusion. no one expects him to run with slot wrs

exactly. the hope is the qb and receiver read the backer blitz and throw a hot route not realizing a d lineman has dropped into that area.

I know what a zone blitz is. As I said dropping dline is fine if you are dropping them in a zone. I have no problem seeing Sheldon drop in coverage sometimes. There is one particular time I saw against USC he was running across the field trying to cover a wr. I also have seen him line up at lb depth and play zone coverage. I feel he is playing out of position in those situations. As a raiders fan I remember when rob ryan tried to go 3-4 and with the personnel he had he used tyler brayton and grant irons as the olbs and had they had to cover rbs and wrs in space. Did not work at all. When romeo is lined up with his hand in the ground and drops on a zone blitz that is fine. I am just saying I am not a fan of him lining up at lb depth and playing in coverage.

Do you really believe that they had Sheldon Day in coverage vs a USC wide receiver. Ridiculous.

I was talking about romeo running with a wr against USC. Not Sheldon. Sheldon dropped a couple of times against Wake.

again, it's all about giving different looks and causing confusion.
