Just amazing how good we are. We played so well in that game. I still think we're the better team. Before stating otherwise, go back and watch it. We're so good this year.

We are good, though we certainly weren't any better than Georgia in that game. Go back and watch it again. You'll see speed and strength on their defense the likes of which we haven't seen probably since we last played Alabama.

I'll tell you else is good: Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Penn State and Clemson.

Clemson defense is damn good. Probably better than Bama to be honest.

Did the plays actually change or did other defenses just fail to get into the backfield since? Wimbush looks a lot different now.

I can tell you...

BW is playing with ten times more confidence.

When he took off before it was with a little uncertainty. Worried about fumbling...should he have thrown. ...

Now...

He is making decisions with conviction.

I was at the game. It could have gone either way. The things that hurt us is that it was
Brandon’s second start. We had wide receivers by committee.

Now we pretty much have EQ, Stepherson and a super confident Claypool which should have been our top 3 on game #1

The so called experts don’t know this.

In the game;
Georgia jammed EQ, loaded the box and punished Wimbush. They weren’t concerned about Canteen or Cam Smith getting open.
They ignored them. Claypool dropped one ball and he wasn’t in much again.
Kelly realized after that game that Claypool needed to play regardless of an occasional drop because he’s physically a stud and now today he has the confidence- he catches everything and is a cyborg blocker.

Fromm threw 7 passes vs Florida in their win.
I think Wimbush and our passing game has developed more than Georgia’s.

Too make a long story short, i would sign up to play them again any day of the week.

I agree with most of what you said, however it was Fromms first collegiate start so to me its a wash. Claypool not playing much and Dexter not getting one touch were bad moves by the coaching staff. The game was a tossup and could have went either way. I like NDs chances if there is a rematch.

Lol they scores 42 points in that game. I think Georgia's offense is doing ok

We are a run-oriented team that had less than 60 yds rushing. Seriously?

Georgia was the best defense we faced. The DE caused the fumble at the end of the game with pure speed from BW's blindside.

I think if the game were played today a more experienced BW would make fewer errors. We also had two possessions to win the game with a field goal. No way BW doesn't get 30 or 40 yards today to at least give our kicker a chance. I would go as far as to say he would probably get 6 on one of those drives. We looked good in that game, but not quite as polished as we do now. We also have Stephersen now. I think today's ND wins that game by 7.

I thought Georgia was the better team that night and deserved the win, and they certainly won the stat game. We had two shots at getting within range in the last five minutes to pull out a win, and they stopped us both times. In my view, they’re better than us until we prove differently, preferably by either beating them or beating the team that beats them.

Georgia won the game, but we had the lead in the 4th quarter. And led for most of the game. As bad as we played at times in that game, we still found ways to score, while limiting Georgia's ability to do the same. The sack on our last drive turned out to be the difference. Remember the "All-World" running tandem of Michel and Chubb? We stonewalled them.

I give Georgia credit, but I also think we can beat them if we played again.

We are a very different, much improved team today:

1.Stepherson -- he opens it all up with his speed and downfield abilities.
2. Confidence -- we were still haunted by ghosts of 4-8 in week two, doubt is doubt.
3. USC: this team found itself in that game. They knowbelieve that they are that good. Doubt gone.
4. Coaches -- getting better. Opening up the playbook. Great scouting (loved the MSU gameplan.)
5. Depth --We haven't had this much depth since '93. (Younger guys getting more experienced.)
6. Speed -- on offense and defense.
7. Strength -- offensive line. D line. LBs and THE HULK CONEY!
8. Strength -- Balis has them stronger now than vs. Georgia! Just wait until Jan!
9. Josh -- playing like an NFL guy (remember Floyd?) vs college guys. Same with Nelson.

Really fun to watch. Keep it going. Win every play, every series, every quarter. Don't let up.

And in the words of the great Tom Petty: "I won't back down!"

There is a reason Allen had 55 yards on 19 carries and the qb was ineffective, UGA's DL manhandled ND's OL all night. WIthout penalties going ND's way game to keep drives going ND scores 7 or less.

Wimbush isn't the only player in the country who has improved, Fromm is a true frosh, made his first career start at night in one of the most famous stadiums in college football, he has the highest qb rating of any starter in the SEC and has done everything asked of him.

We're better now. Georgia's better now too.
Without a doubt both teams are better. Two Qbs have some starts under their belts, both O-lines have gelled much better as the season has gone along. I would expect another close game, maybe a few more points scored than the first one.

I hope we get another shot at them down the road. I love watching good football played at a high level.

And the late hit penalty against ND that helped Georgia score their last touchdown?? Don't get me wrong, I'm not whining about the call - it was close, but probably a legit call.

Without that penalty - you're punting.
Without that penalty - UGA probably doesn't win the game.

Point is, penalties are part of the game and they go both ways.

I agree that the Dawgs Dline dominated the trenches, something that will have to be reckoned with.

Nonetheless, I haven't watched it since the game, was the UGA WR inbounds on that td?

He was 16 for 22 with 2 TDs this week, he doesn't throw it much, until he needs to, guy had 14K yards in 6A hs ball in Georgia, 2nd largest in State. I don't know how people come up with he can't throw, ND was his first start, did he look like a nervous QB to you?

Sure ND could win a rematch, but its not like we haven't improved too, besides Fromm, we started 2 frosh on the OL against NC, both likely frosh AAs. We are too quick for your OL,, so I would like our chances in a rematch.

Wimbush throws 40 times with Freddy Canteen and Cam Smith and the Walkon. It was like Kellys gameplan from 2016. Glad we stopped that after that game.
Today we beat Georgia by 10 to 14 points easy.

lol, you have a short memory, those big slow OL still can't block our D, without the drive saving penalties ND may not have scored the first game.

Georgia's D-Line was dominant in that game. If we had even an inkling of a passing attack, we win though, McGlinchey got owned on that last offensive drive.

How do you know they still can't? Do you assume your team gets better as the season goes along and everyone else stays the same?
