Resident football coaches: (Louisville vs. ND) zone read differences

I understand there are many concepts of the zone read but when you watch Louisville their concept is much more crisp and north/south than ND's. Do they read different lineman, etc? When I see Kizer run the read it almost seems to be a guess game with no defensive key.

Not a coach, but that kid on Louisville is lights out. He has an uncanny ability to find the opening.
