What most analysts, sportscasters ,die-hard ND fans have consisently posted , we were doing well early because of the running of Adams and Wimbush .Yes Wimbush had a few good games passing and seemed to be improving ,but in crunch time particularly against Miami and Stanford and even some what Navy, everything went south.

Throughout the season most of the sportscasters ,analysts , Irish fans still were suspect of Wimbush's passing .never seem to get it together.We could blame on the coaches ,Wimbush is simply not a good passer we can not go into next season with a problem not solved

He either shows marked improvement between now and Labor day, or we need to go in a different direction. We had noticeable improvement in very important team functions this season, most notably running game and overall defense. We can't have one position holding everything else back.

A functional passing attack opens the doors at Miami and Stanford....He does not need to throw for 350 weekly, but he needs to be able to hit receivers consistently.

Also -- receivers needs to re-learn how to catch the ball as well -- we had several drops at key times that did not help BW's confidence.

Well, nothing, that is nothing is going to change. Where would this change come from?

I agree the recievers have to catch the damm ball. Having said that it's hard to get in a groove when you're running full speed and a ball is thrown at your feet, or one three feet too high, then one at the chest, then one behind thigh high....

His grip is a problem too. He needs to go up one lace or down one lace because most of his passes even if accurate are very wobbly.

Maybe as an odd resort he can out his thumb at the top lace and nothing else.

That is used as a last resort because if fumbling so nobody teaches that however a more consistent spiral would help immensely.
