SOUTH BEND, IN - Pat Rogers ‘10, former Notre Dame men’s basketball director of operations, has been named the first Director of Student-Athlete Management within the University’s burgeoning Name, Image and Likeness division. Rogers began in this role on Nov. 1 and will continue to support Glenn & Stacey Murphy Head Men’s Basketball Coach Micah Shrewsberry and the program until a replacement is found upon the completion of the 2024-25 season.

“I look forward to serving our student-athletes and coaches as we help shape the way Notre Dame leads in the evolving NIL landscape,” Rogers said. “We will continue to be aggressive and progressive in allowing our student-athletes to maximize their opportunities while here at Notre Dame and I’m ready to hit the ground running.”

In this role, Rogers is tasked with fostering relationships to support the retention of student-athletes for the entirety of their time at the university, leading the charge within the division on communication and negotiations and being a strategic leader for preparing for the future of what name, image and likeness offers.

“The addition of Pat is the perfect step for us to be prepared for the new-age of college athletics,” said Aaron Horvath, Deputy Athletics Director for External Affairs. “Pat’s understanding of the ecosystem of name, image and likeness, his ability to connect with student-athletes and coaches and his appreciation of what makes Notre Dame special is what sets him apart in this role.”

Rogers spent four years as director of basketball operations at Notre Dame - two with head coach Mike Brey and two with Shrewsberry. Prior to Notre Dame, Rogers spent the previous five seasons as the director of operations for the University of Delaware men’s basketball team.

Before Delaware, Rogers served the first three years of his Notre Dame tenure and where he made his connection with Delaware head coach Martin Ingelsby. In his position, he worked with the day-to-day oversight of the program and was the coordinator of all scouting videos.

A native of Lake Zurich, Ill., Rogers was a student manager for the Irish for two seasons before graduating from Notre Dame in 2010 with a degree in accountancy from the Mendoza College of Business. He then spent two years as a graduate assistant with the Providence men’s basketball program and received a master’s degree in business administration, before serving as director of basketball operations at The Citadel during the 2012-13 season.

He is married to Kayla (Miller) Rogers and they are parents to their son, Trevor.
