has anyone read or heard about what some of the recruits had to say. all i've heard or read was someone another board posting that they read that our irish could get multiple verbals from some of the kids that were there for the game

well, Kareem was 'impressed'; the staff did the best they could. He left without a commitment and will continue his OV's.

with Kareem backing out of his verbal to bama pers i'm sure he wants to now take his time and make the right decision. I want him and 4 star TX OLB Mculloch that also visted Saturday

McCulloch looks like a LB for sure!

Those in that are top targets are among the elite and they usually will not decide quickly.

yeah unfortunately there was some recruiting analyst that speculated that Kareem would verbal this weekend, so an update that he left impressed and had his and his parents questions answered and they are on board, seems underwhelming.

Other than that I have only read that we set the bar very high for Hayes, he said the trip was "phenomenal". I read on another site that they were standing near him and Tommy Kraemer as the players were walking in and he told Kraemer, "I just love this place" or something to that effect. Right now I'd say we way out in front for him and probably for Kareem as well.

I know the LB from Texas that was mentioned, McCulloch, tweeted that the trip was going "amazing" last night. He was helping Kraemer do pushups in the stands w/ Hayes, Elliot and Tony Jones. Def a huge want for me as well. I expect there to be a steady flow of news coming in over the next 24 hrs, kinda been slow for now.

just saw this nugget elsewhere:
"“I was working on Daelin Hayes, Brandon Burton, and Damar Hamlin. I think we are going to get all three of them.” - Tony Jones

Jones also reiterating that he was again blown away by ND.

thanks for the info D_Master. yeah i'm sure by moday we'll hear more about what the recruits had to say

love the talent BK is bringing in to ND. The talent level is getting close to the Holtz era. One of the greatest things BK has accomplished is that he has proven that ND can still recruit great football players who want the best of both worlds and not just one - academics and high level football.

Whatever they say about Kelly he find talent. Our third string QB looks like a stud as well as our third string RB.

thanks; good work! (award you a '35' for that!)

I just read that hayes said that him and Jaylon smith talked and that smith told him that if he comes to south bend that he will pass down the 9 jersey to him just as manti passed things down to him. sure hope we get him

^^^also would add that he said he's never had more fun at a game than Sat.

also it looks like after the visit we have a HUGE lead for Kareem the DE that decommited from Bama. this is from a national reporter too, after talking to the kid and his parents both, not an ND writer that the kid could be giving what he thinks we want to hear. RIGHT NOW, I'd be shocked if we dont land Hayes and Kareem. and that would be an enormous lift to the class to get 2 elite defensive prospects.

wanted to add this and preface it by saying I dont know how good the comp is that he's playing but Kareem had 19 sacks as a JR and currently has 15 after 7 games this year. He also has 29 TFL and 4 forced fumbles. so essentially in a little over a season and a half, he has 34 SACKS! Good lawd!

My first thought reading that quote is that Jaylon might be intending to go pro :(

Would love to get the LB from here in Houston. Sounds like a real quality kid/family.

sources close to Studsill say ND is the clear leader after his weekend visit, but he isnt ready to commit yet. Gonna visit Miami this weekend. Not sure if that means he may commit soon after that, but just passing on what i read.

The weather was fine. It was clear and chilly. Nobody around me was complaining at all. The recruiting nerds wanted good weather for the game and they got it. They wanted an Irish win and they got it. They wanted an exciting and loud stadium atmosphere and they got it. It's like walking on eggshells. Everything has to be pitch perfect or the recruit will walk. Well, Saturday was damn near as perfect as you can get so there should be no excuses.

4 star TX OLB Jeffrey McCulloch said basically that his visit went great and that notre feels like home to him and that he had that feeling the minute he got on cams and met the players and coaches. will visit Stanford, florida and Michigan and then decide at the UA game and he also won't cut his and justpick a school between all of them. seems like our irish have a shot from what he's saying about our irish

guys on the other site said no chance on McC. not sure why they feel that way.
Kid sure looks like a LB and would be great if he surprised us!

I know pers that loy is basically saying our irish don't have a shot at McCulloch but I just read a full interview from him on another board and his words say different. can't remember everything word for word but he talks about how notre dame basically blew him away and him and hayes could see themselves playing there. he says that our irish will be in it until the end. mother doesn't like football and mainly cares about him getting a top education and she was asking lots of questions basically about coaches and there interaction his teachers when it comes to school work and stuff like that. seems like mamma could be a reason why he has no sec schools in his top 5

yeah i read the quotes by McCulloch and wondered the same thing why Loy said we wouldnt get him. He said neg stereotypes were cleared up and positive ones reinforced, fans are crazy and he feels like its home. Maybe he says very positive things about everyone but that makes me think we have a great shot at him. One thing his mom wondered too was number of students to professor ratio for classes. With ND being smaller i could see that working in our favor with mom. When academic focused mom's involved, ND wins our fair share of recruiting battles.

2016 4 star CA WR Javan McKinley almost committed to our irish this past weekend according to wiltfong. Javan came to the game with several family members

yeah pers I also heard he was slipping and maybe leaning toward Washington I bleive but is guess his visit Saturday and sunday must have wowed him and his family

yes I did pers. Kelly has said in his pressers that the staff is telling him the the showtime thing is really helping in recruiting and now I think our irish are starting to see that. with all the interest picking up with big time 4 and 5 star kids

obviously that ST advantage will be strongest this go around as the copy-cat nature of the mefia will spawn similar shows.

But, it will only differentiate ND from those others;you probably won't here FSU players discussing classes!
