Yes, Mills shouldn't have thrown the punch, but that was reactionary by the SC player provoking him. And besides if you a punch a guy's face mask you're more likely to hurt your hand than you are the guy's face. Don't ask me how I know this.

A player can be nasty and not commit dumb penalties. Some dumb penalties are more understandable than others though. I’m not sure where Mills’ penalty falls as I haven’t seen a good clip of what happened that play or what happened previously that contributed. Either way, it wasn’t a smart move on Mills’ part.

Having his mouthpiece all the way in means he had his mouthpiece all the way in. Nothing more, nothing less.
He can verbally taunt just as well with or without the mouthpiece in. Thus I said if you had actually played the game you'd have known that and not said such gibberish.

Whether or not he taunted...Who cares. I prefer a bit more class but I'm not going to worry whether or not he was flapping his gums or only looking at them.

The mills thing dumb founds me. It didn't appear the SC defender was doing anything malicious, but its hard to say from a video. Maybe he was really cranking on his leg/knee? If so, I have no problems with mills "straightening him out" as thats uncalled for. However if the defender just had a hold of his leg... kinda a punk move to punch him in the facemask IMO. We will never know the truth I'm afraid.

That said, I prefer our guys to have a bit of a nastiness to them and if it was a cheap move on the SC defenders part, fire away Mills... I'll take the occasional 15 yarder if it means our guys are respected and feared a little bit.
