Why does it seem so important to so many of our posters that ND fans resign themselves to going 8-5 every year for the rest of our lives. It's almost like getting fans to do that involves some kind of victory for them.

A lot of the posters you reference are not ND fans at all, but are impostors. They get their jollies out of pretending to be ND fans, and to discredit anything and everything about ND. It's a very strange dynamic, but one I have seen for years here.

and Sociology students get ready made topics for grad and doctoral theses.

Exactly. In fact, many of these impostors are simply the same idiot posting under different handles. The board's resident Indiana alum comes to mind. I suspect he's been quite busy here the past couple of days posting under various handles. Pretty pathetic when you think about it.

In 2016 there are more glass half empty people. Would you agree with that?

As far as myself...I want to win and think we will win every game.

The only time a loss IMO can ever have a silver lining is against the academies

Those 8 and 5ers mostly have an agenda. They are posting more because they know those days are over !
The 8 and 5ers are like political hacks on either side of the spectrum who believe that if you keep saying the same thing, over and over again, people will think it is the truth !! They are the slime of the Earth !!

The Irish are back !! And that's a fact, Jack !!

I don't have a problem with someone with a differing opinion. But it's clear that the person/people in question has/have an agenda which is clearly rooted in making ND look bad. And I don't think Kelly is above criticism either. But there's a difference between being critical and being irrational.
