Mom's in hospital with breathing issues. Almost lost her Wednesday. She is 83 and very frail. I have been staying with her for a week now (very tired). She is having demtia and i think that's the hardest part. Please pray for her.

Prayers from this side of the 49th. Although I'm sure it's of little comfort to you right now, she's in the Big Man's hands and there is no better place to be. Good luck to you my friend!

God bless your mom, you, your family and friends.
Peace in Christ.

Very sorry to hear this. And I pray she gets better as soon as possible. We just put my mom to rest this weekend. And I am still numb from it.

Thanks to all. Sadly got the news this morning when i was here alone with her. She has days left maybe a week. Tough getting that kind of news by yourself.

I'm so sorry. I know you will continue to make her as comfortable as possible. Can you play her favorite music, get her favorite food, favorite outfits, bring someone in to do makeup or maybe read to her? Maybe home movies.... I don't know just tossing some stuff out. I remember when my Dad's mom passed. We called her Nana and she had lung cancer and only weeks to go. "Nana, is there anything I can get for you that would make you comfortable?" I think I was around 16 at the time. "I would love a cigarette, but they won't let me have one. I don't know why? It's already done it's dirty deed." I was back in under 10 minutes with 2 packs of Marlboro. "You were always my favorite devil".

Do everything in your power and beyond to make her feel loved, comfortable..... It's heartbreaking, but cherish these moments.

God bless you and stay strong.

Awful. It's raw and the shock will take some time to subside. God bless your mom, you and your family.

Keep your chin up and know you will see her again.

Dag... Usually don't respond to such personal sad news, but fully appreciate the ache and numbness you are feeling. Been through the loss of both parents and my wife's parent's, and more recently my sister and sister in law. Your mom is fortunate to have lived a long life, and to have such a devoted loving son. The loss of my sister and sister in law in their early sixties helped put the loss of my parents in their eighties into a more appropriate positive perspective...one that celebrates their long lives and the great times we shared. Prayers sent for your mom, but also for you to find comfort and peace and joy in celebrating her life. Godspeed.
