Looking ahead -- and getting away from all the negativity of the last few days/season -

Based on who is eligible (I think this is it), who comes back?

Malik Zaire
Tarean Folston
Tori Hunter
Durham Smythe (I think he stated he was planning on it)
Jacob Matuska
Mike McGlinchey
Colin McGovern
Hunter Bivin
John Montelus (I think he has already stated he was not coming back)
Devin Butler (with all the young guys who played extensively -- does he come back?)

Also -- based on the schedule, assuming Kelly is here -- any thought?

Temple (H)
Georgia (H)
Boston College (A)
Michigan State (A)
Miami - Ohio (H)
North Carolina (A)
USC (H)
NC State (H)
Wake Forest (H)
Miami - Florida (A)
Navy (H)
Stanford (A)

Malik Zaire - Gone - Will graduate and try and play somewhere else next year.
Tarean Folston - Gone...could stick around but not sure he is needed.
Tori Hunter - Gone - Married...family has money...would love for him to stick around but doubt it happens. Maybe try baseball...avoid more concussions
Durham Smythe (I think he stated he was planning on it) - Okay...
Jacob Matuska - No idea
Mike McGlinchey - Hope he stays
Colin McGovern - No idea
Hunter Bivin - No idea

Assuming of course ND is healthy and Brian Kelly either learns how to coach or is replaced by someone who knows how to coach. Does Kizer take his potential and leave or stay and work on his consistency?

Malik Zaire - NO, will do a grad transfer year at another school
Tarean Folston - Possible
Tori Hunter - Possible if the NFL or MLB prospects are not enticing
Durham Smythe (I think he stated he was planning on it) - Yes, need him for one year while the two incoming tight end studs learn the ropes
Jacob Matuska - Not sure he will be offered
Mike McGlinchey - Still considered a 1st rounder, so he's gone, unless that changes materially
Colin McGovern - Possible
Hunter Bivin - Possible
John Montelus (I think he has already stated he was not coming back) - Won't be offered
Devin Butler (with all the young guys who played extensively -- does he come back?) - NO, that ship has sailed

Malik Zaire - No, agreed, I suspect he transfers to somewhere where he can play
Tarean Folston - Yes, and I surely hope so
Tori Hunter - Possible, but my lean is No, since he'll have other options. Quite honestly, he hasn't been that valuable anyway
Durham Smythe: Yes, and we need him
Jacob Matuska - No
Mike McGlinchey - Yes, I actually take him at his word that he'll return, and judging by his play this year, he should
Colin McGovern - Yes
Hunter Bivin - Possible
John Montelus: NO
Devin Butler: nope, agreed the ship has sailed for him

only McG is worth bringing back.
MZ needs to go elsewhere AND play football, a game he loves with a passion! wish him the best!

Kizer is gone. If Kelly returns another 4-8 season with Zaire running out the clock looking to the sidelines for help that isnt coming.

Smythe doesn't really contribute so much more than a Fr would
and
AJ returns. Plus there are Claypool and Boykin who can move there in situations.

FWIW, I spoke with Lou Somogyi just last Saturday in South Bend and he confirmed Mike McGlinchey will definitely return for a fifth year.
