Conclusion - ND will not make playoffs even if they win out. ND BIAS because we have been a fraud the last 20 years possibly but with good reason. Under Weis we made some major bowls and were embarrassed. Kelly;s 2012 travesty against BAMA did not help. I said from day 1 we had to go undefeated to make playoofs but clowns like echo/gipper/Argus/Continual etc said I was an idiot. The proof is right here. The resident trolls are idiots. Maybe if Kelly did not go for 2 so early against Clemson or did not run into an 8 man front for 3 quarters this would not be an issue. But Kelly loses at least 1 game a year just on his play calling.

Another year wasted...plus we lose all our talent and the recruiting class is pitiful. Whether Kelly abandons ship as he is prone to do (Cincy, Eagles) or gets fired when we go 5-7 in two years because the purple faced one has gotten lazy in his recruiting (probably can't pull himself away from the buffet(, his time has come and gone.

Please explain. Big 10 would have 1 spot wrapped up. SEC would have 1 or 2 spots wrapped up. ACC would have 1 spot wrapped up. Big 12 has 3 potentials teams with possible locks. When I meant not the biggest threat, I meant 1 of the 3 are in and there is nothing you or I or purple face can do about it.

OP posts an unbelieveable amount of interchanging scenarios that really are a bunch of what ifs and assumptions, then passes them off as fact.

Well as I see it even in the OPs worst case, we'd probably be playing Iowa in one of the New Year's Day non playoff major bowls. I like our chances there, a win and a 12-1 year with the major bowl win taken care of sets up pretty nicely for the future. We'd start next season in the top 5 or so, and we wouldn't be shackled by not having a major bowl win in 25 years.

arguing about this at this point is pointless. if we get to 10-1 and are going to Stanford, then I'll worry about being left out. But for now worry about winning the games ahead of us. I remember in 2012 people were worried that we'd get left out of the NCG and we ended up #1. Sal, not necessarily getting in, but I can see scenarios where they are rated higher than ND. For example if BAMA beats LSU, then BAMA jumps in the polls and LSU falls...by how much I don't know. Since they are playing in BAMA and it is a very close score, I am not sure LSU drops below ND in the polls...especially with the SEC Bias.

Which if they do would make them a one loss champ with their one loss coming to a team we absolutely destroyed. Could easily see the committee give us the nod over them.
