He, Bodi, is an enthusiastic fan, one I'd want on my sideline. There is no need to call people names or ridicule. People now see what has happened. The administration will be confronted with some very unpleasant decisions and to re-examine the program given today's collegiate universe and how everyone is playing in it. What direction do they want to go? If they continue in the direction they are on, not compromising on the academic goals and aspirations of the school, be prepared for more of the same, with an occasional outlier like the 12-0 year (by the way, that is what Hesburgh wanted). If they compromise, then things can change or they can try and join the Ivy League, re-adjust the outlook of the program and understand the consequences. The alumni have no problems with that. Just spell it out. But, given NBC's investment, the stadium, the history and the culture of the University, we will continue and try, as best as possible, to now hire great people (and pay for them) and move forward.
