Seem to like his style. Says ND was one of his favorite teams growing up. Said, after the Texas game a lot of ND fans think the sky is falling and then says "trust me it is not".

Good interview - maybe when BK retires Polian could a potential next HC at ND ?

Irish Blessing,
Of course anything is possible, but I just don't see Kelly
Retiring any time soon unless he gets tired of coaching?
There was talk of his guing to the pros ar one time, but I,
Others may disagree, I jut don't see why any pro team would ever consider him?
ND seems happy to keep him, so he can continue to go 8 / 4 or 9 / 3 and sty as long as he wants to.
I am not a big Kelly fan, but I think he will be around as long as he wants to stay at ND ?

It's Tuesday - I'm starting to finally calm down - starting to get geared up for NV. I've grown tired of BK, but I do like how he has recruited and basically run the program. He has taken what CW started in terms of recruiting higher level football players again to ND and even done better IMO than CW was able to do. BK has proven that ND can get enough high level talent to win big - it just has not so far unfortunately really matriculated to the field for BK except for 2012. Last year was close, but the dud we laid in the bowl game put a sour taste to last season.

But the most important aspect for ND fans going forward is that BK has proven to the naysayers that you can recruit big time kids to ND - look at all the NFL talent we are sending again to the NFL. This years offense again has even more NFL talent. What has killed ND w/ coaches being not interested in ND was the myth being perpetrated in the 90's and early 2000's that a HC could no longer recruit top level talent - top 15 type talenl to ND.. As long as ND can recruit a top 10 or top 15 level talent - then there is a shot at some special years. Any coach worth his salt will take that risk or challenge - going forward when BK retires or leaves ND however it ends up - I firmly believe that Uncle Jack and ND will have some great HC options for ND because of this simple fact. You can still recruit great players to ND and the 40 year decision !

Stanford these last 5 or 6 years is also a testament that it can be done - they have averaged what 11 or 12 wins now for the last 5 or 6 years w/ at least 2 or 3 New Years Day bowl wins - that is all I want - to be at the same or better level than Stanford. If Stanford can do it - there is no reason why ND cant as well.
