Was talking to a few friends about the playoffs and my buddy made a good point that he thinks the seeding will have more to do with ratings then actual rankings. He thinks if ND is a 5 or 6 seed that they will put in a SEC team in 11 or 12 spot like Bama because the ratings will be too good to pass up. I know playoff com. would never admit but im starting to think that more realistic possibilty than before.

IMO Oregon is the 5 if they lose the Big 10 title game to Ohio St. And an 11-1 Penn State could very well be the 6.

Lots of moving parts.

I would think their goal if they cared about ratings would be to get ND past the 1st round and give them an easier matchup rd 1

Lots of ways to look at it

Still a lof of factors to play out. If A&M beats Texas, OSU beats Oregon, if Boise losing, Georgia loses to Tech or SEC champ game, ect where we will end up seeding wise but the question will remain how much of these match up's will be driven by rankings vs ratings. CFB is a business and I know there is alot of pressure to make sure their broadcast partners ROI pays off.
