To any board Mod who may read this thread:

Much of this came about because there have been threads started discussing Jameis Winston and Erica Klinsman. Some of us support Erica over the accused rapist from FSU. Epic is one who supports Erica. Just want to make sure any moderator is aware. A simple perusal of the previous posts will demonstrate. So, this hatred of Epic and the attempt to silence him is really just a continuation of the rapist supporters vs those of us on the side of justice.

I support 110% Epic and his right to express his opinions. I have never seen one of his posts denigrate ND or our Lady. He certainly has no love for the criminoles. No crime there.

Quite frankly things often happen beyond a coach's control despite their delivering the appropriate message. You can't handle that reality. Carroll on the other hand cultivated an ongoing thug culture by allowing known felons/criminals regular access to the team among other things. You also never answered why I or anyone else should hold your opinion about Bowden in higher regard than Holtz, Dungy and other football icons. BTW, no one is trying to initiate a protocol for banning posters in the abstract sense. We are talking about a single poster who has to be easily identifiable. If, for some reason, another person is sharing his IP, I have no sympathy for him.

Grad rates? Hell, it's not just the grad rates everything about FSU under Bowden was disgraceful and, as hard is this may be to believe, it may be worse under Jumbo! Yet we still have cgvr and Mo1d attempting to denigrate Coach Holtz and Kelly by accusing them of similar wrongdoing and hypocrisy. That is just wrong as there is good reason why FSU makes every list for "Most Corrupt" and ND remains the school decent people in the sport try to emulate.

Agreed. This isn't a free speech issue. This is yelling "fire" in a crowded theatre when there is none. Again, I think one critical component would be for board ops to make simple contact with fsu's site managers to get a history lesson on argus' activities. He is degrading the product across multiple boards. I am sure some time today he will take a dump in an aisle at target.

Well put. I love almost all our sub alums especially our matriarchs that could never attend and adored the school and what it represented. It really is a shame that every team has a portion of its' fan base behaving rudely. With ND it sit,'s out like a sore thumb because it is so against what the school represents. PS I have run into folks that were doing exactly what you said.... I would make up an Irish name of a building on campus and they would say they've been in it. My friends would pee....

FYI, I didn't have to pay for college. I had a football scholarship. I've forgotten more about football than you'll ever know. So congrats on paying for one of the best educations in the world. I'm more than happy with the degree I got for free.

Didn't have to pay for college? That's great that you got a free ride at some Division II or III school. So you pay $10 a month on some ND chat board and now you're some big shot? Want to know how much I paid in tuition and room & board at ND? Don't presume to tell me who is supporting whom here. Think before you post. There are a lot of ND alums here who laugh at your grandstanding over $10. How much do you spend every year to enter the alumni lottery just for the chance to buy tickets? How much do you pay for season tickets? Didn't think so. When you get your ND degree and have to pay for it, then you can boast all you want about your $10. Otherwise, you and your ilk just come across as ignorant, loudmouth buffoons.

I don't fully have the ear of the operator of this board. Though I am happy to drop him a line. Abd I really do agree what what you are saying. Here is what makes it challenging for the 'new' mods here.

They don't have the history with this particular poster that you or Wax or others did. And they don't have a reason to mistrust him like many of the old board members do. couple that with when the boards changed from the old style to the new style. All of the bans disappeared. Which by the way for the rest of you. If you were banned on Warchant or the Purdue or others. You aren't any longer. And there isn't a digital trail to say you ever were.

The moderator controls for the old board were terrible. They had no advanced design to them. No logging what happene . No way to prove who got banned for what. Really the only true advantages it had was the IP tracker. And all that did was track the use of the IP and show any other users that logged from that same IP. Which sounds great until you realize the sheer number of college students we have on these boards that log in from the same IP.

When you see Argu / Ep / Dubs etc make a post. And especially the ones about FSU. The best bet (instead of ignoring him) is to use the built in report option. That will allow you to report that particular post. AND allow you to write a comment of why you are reporting it. Since the mods here spend the bulk of their time on the pay board and not here they might not see the problem that is happening.

However when you click on report it gives every mod an alert on their dashboard that won't go away until they resolve it. For all the posters that just click 'ignore'. All you are really doing is empowering the poster because you can't see any rules violations they are making.

If I can help I am happy to. But realistically on the this board I am a poster no different then you. I just happen to have some options you don't

The poster in question is currently posting under at least three different usernames agreeing with himself while giving the real ND fans here the finger at the same time. He (they) fool no one. And at the same time them lying through his teeth while attacking FSU.

He invents usernames faster than the mods can ban them (at other sites anyway).
