Thank you for the PSA. That is cheap. Everyone can afford that. Doesn't change anything effin' at all about the previous debate. But it does give you the opportunity to taunt whoever the F you're taunting, now that even the lowliest peon surely can pay that much. So yeah, this is a matter of conspicuous consumption, even over something as paltry as this. Almost kind of defeats the purpose though. I'm pretty sure everyone can afford 8 dollars. And it really was a matter of principle, the pay per view debate, and not a significant occasion for flaunting one's personal purchasing power.

It came to my attention today so I decided to share it. No dastardly intentions at all. If the offer makes someone here more likely to subscribe and enhance their ND experience so be it. Either way it's no skin off my patoot.

This dude was trying to F with anyone who had a problem with having to pay extra for this game, while he was happy to do it. The pleasure was all his. It's just the beautiful, gorgeous free market at work after all. It's probably a good thing on general principle. Market innovation enabling the additional extraction of revenue from consumers should be lauded on the merits. Quite frankly it's a ND fan's privilege to pay extra. And with this bargain basement one year sub come-on even your garden variety poor can manage it.

Oh is that so? I always thought ND fans grumbled about this. Even the hardcore alums on the ND Nation site. The first time they debuted this new price structure. And how ND was so obsessed with money, and never missed a trick to eke out a little more. Maybe they've warmed up to the idea.
