We wanted him badly, and staff were confident of his committing; but something went off the tracks after his visit. He wanted to check out Duke and we cooled to him. Backstory? Tae and Miles, or Tae and Mencke would have been a really good haul. Tae has really high upside, but we need a complimentary piece, and not sure we have a great alternative in our sights.

Apparently staff was pretty confident of Mencke n miles committing when on campus. When that didn’t happen, I think they shifted focus to upcoming visitors. Our safety recruiting is just baffling. It’s like UFO’s. Many sightings but unconfirmed landings.
