I read Tommy Kraemer made the team. That's great news. Does anyone know how these teams are selected?.Chaz Surratt, who frankly I had not heard of, is the QB. From NC, he is the 16th ranked player in NC, 11th ranked dual purpose qb and has no national rank. I ask because I thought Eason and Patterson were the top QB's this year

I was going to start a thread on that also. I live in North Carolina and I know Surratt had an offer from Clemson as well as NC, but beyond that not a list like some other QBs had.

In addition, a local kid named Rico Dowdle made the first team as an athlete. He was only a two-star until about a month ago and finished as a three-star after committing to South Carolina. He held an offer from ND but I believe it was as a preferred walk-on.

I like Dowdle better than Macintosh, but I don't think we should have taken either

Yale University got more Parade 1st Team and Honorable Mention All-Americans than Notre Dame.

We had one first team and no honorable mention players and Yale had no first team and two honorable mention players.

Yep, do not know the process selectors use. 2 Yale players. I'm sure athlete RD from SC is good but is not ranked and a very limited offer sheet.

I remember a kid named McNair that was the Parade best player in the nation and never started a game for ND. No credibility there.

I honestly didn't realize Parade still existed. Best one to gauge for recruiting rankings is the 247 Composite site who averages the Scout, Rivals, ESPN, and their own.
