PAC12 making a comeback.

The P5 rides again! šŸ˜
Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Oregon State, San Diego State, Utah State, Washington State. I am curious who team #8 for football will be.

The PAC was smart to land Gonzaga for basketball.

Maybe the eighth school would be UNLV?

If they were smart, Stanford and CAL would rejoin. Add in St Marys, Pepperdine and LMU for non football and you have a decent conference. Better than multiple trips to the Atlantic.

That ship has sailed, and no doubt $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ considerations will keep those two in the ACC. Money drives everything at that level.

I still fully believe we are heading toward a two conferences of 48 teams set-up.

I thought the Pac and Big 12 should have merged as a third super conference several years ago. Really stupid for Cal and Stanford to be in the ACC, and USC and Oregon in the Big; but financial survival and the poor leadership of the Pac were in play. Hard to get enthused with a newly constructed PAC given these choices.

I guarantee you Air Force, Boise St., Colorado State, Oregon St., San Diego State, Utah State, and Washington St., and Gonzaga for basketball, are all enthused for the 2026-27 season.

I am very curious who team 8 will be for football. It will likely be Texas St.

New PAC will be Mountain West/American Athletic Conference level. A respectable conference to schedule one home game per year versus.

I think the ACC and BIG12 should merge. Now that the ACC, FSU and Clemson have settled. The ACC has 5 years left before those two exit. Exit fee gets reduced to 75 million in 2030. That's a manageable fee if they bolt for the BIG10 or SEC. The Big10 tv contract expires in 2030, so things could get crazy.
