Heard him this morning on XM radio definitively and boldly predict an Irish win over Stanford. He predicts they will stop #5 (McCaffrey) and the stars on both offense and defense will rise up to the challenge.He doesn't believe Hogan can beat them alone. He surprisingly has no issues with how last week translates to the Stanford game claiming last week was last week and this week is this week. He also said something that most of us already knew. ND has the habit of playing up or down to their competition. That's why he is so confident about an Irish win. On a side note. he believes Nebraska has a real shot and Auburn has no shot this weekend. Only he said it much more entertaining. This Lou post was just for fun and not meant to break out in WWIII.

I was just thinking the same thing. Back in the day teams played 'murder's row' schedules and he was one of the best.
His ability to understand both sides of ball made him truly one the great College Coaches of All Time. His book/manual "The Offensive Mind of Lou Holtz". Is a coaching bible that I have carried with me for 20 years.
Aaron Taylor was on XM this morning and really believes that Irish need at least a two TD win coupled with an Okie loss to give ND any chance at all. He said that both ND and Sooners will need to give the committee something to remember while the conference title games are being played next week. And he made a prediction that just might make some happy around here. He believes that soon, you will start to see a resurgence in offensive strategy using TEs, dual RBs and a FB. He believes the power game will come back.
