Is it just me, or could ND realistically beat every team in left in this tournament not named Kentucky? Now, I admit, I'm not a huge college basketball guy. But we're 7-1 vs the sweet 16. We beat #1 Duke twice. Etc.
Maybe some of the others would be favored. But I think we'd have close to a 50% shot to beat every other team in this tournament. Sucks we have Kentucky in the Elite 8.
May get bashed for this, but I think if the Kentucky didn't exist, this ND team COULD win the title. Not saying they would as they'd have to have a great final stretch here. But it's within the realm of possibility. Never thought I'd say this, but it seems like our core 7 guys are playing as well as any in the country. Just crazy that ND has the talent possible to win a national title (though it took every possible thing going right for us in talent development/health/etc.).
Maybe we slay the god of Kentucky. But good lord. They have 8 5* and 2 more top 40 overall 4* on their roster. It's just a STUPID amount of amassed talent. Don't seem them losing this year.
