Yahoo Sports' Ross Dellenger broke the news last night that the Pac-12 was set to add four schools to its conference as part of a rebuild plan for the conference that had been reduced to Oregon State and Washington State.

The Pac-12 made the announcement official this morning: Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State and San Diego State will join the conference on July 1, 2026.

According to Dellenger: "This is expected to be the first phase in a multi-phase expansion endeavor to reach, at the very least, eight schools — the NCAA’s minimum required to qualify as an FBS conference. If the aforementioned four join, the league needs two more to complete the process. It must reach the minimum by July of 2026, the end of the NCAA’s two-year grace period."
