Do you see them going the way of Texas A&M or sustaining this success? I can see Lanning continue to bring portal QBs in as they don't have anyone elite there.

#1 recruiting class in the country, per Rivals, with only 20 commits.

Oregon is nothing like TAM.

2024 5-Star QB Dante Moore is the next QB at Oregon, unless Lanning goes Portal. Dante is only 19, and Oregon is hopeful he will develop..

ND has their own billionaire alums.

Its not just "uncle phil" its a master class in marketing.

ND needs to get over itself, stop taking itself so seriously, and start figuring out better ways to engage 18 year olds with their brand.

Dan Lanning is as good a coach as Marcus Freeman but he's driving a Ducati (1st ranked class) and MF is driving a Honda (12th ranked class)

Forgive the motogp reference but its fitting.

Which is also why anytime another organization comes calling and rumors start about other organizations poaching our talent -- it makes your ears perk up. We don't have the fastest bike, someone else does, and the best riders will always want to ride the best bikes.

You don’t have a clue with regard to what you’re talking about regarding Notre Dame.

Why do you continue to make definitive statements without having any substantiating information to back you up?

The results speak for themselves.

There are serious problems with the way ND is being ran, which is why despite having all of the advantages as a blue blood in the sport of college football, they've won absolutely nothing in the last 35 years.

I think it's just Uncle Phil, I think that's what it would come down to. And they're just outspending their competitors. As well as spending on the whole operation and making everything about Oregon all nice and desirable. But it's just money at the end of the day.

ND has endless bags of money. They are in the top 5 in endowment, top 5 in cfb sales, etc. they shouldn't be getting out recruited by 10-15 other schools (depending on the year)

I guess that's true. Maybe they should start spending more of if then. They could start by getting out of their arrangement with UA. They suck! And get with Nike. They're just a way better brand.

Moore remains a risk. 2 years in and not starting

He's a 19 year old #2 QB on the #2 offense in the country and will be surrounded by a collection of some of the best offensive talent in the country. His potential is immense and he's a better bet going forward than any of the QBs on NDs roster IMO.

Yes, this is a tier 1 team this season, with a legit shot at a national title. That doesn't erase away the last 3-4 decades of substandard performance though. And as much as I love a tier 1 (or more like a tier 1.5) season, this program still has yet to seal the deal.

Moore has played poorly so far in his career. We'll see what happens. I wouldn't trade Carr for him. Not a chance

If Dante Moore had signed with Notre Dame, you would not say this.

Most 18-year-olds don't look the part as a true freshman starting QB. Hell, CJ Carr never left fourth string.

How do you know what I would or wouldn't say?

I liked Carr more than Moore and liked him even more than the services did. Carr is a better prospect to me.

Dante Moore hasn't played well that's indisputable regardless if you like him or not

Sam Hartman was 24-years-old playing QB at Notre Dame, and had started for four seasons.

The same season, Dante Moore was 18-years-old, and had never played CFB.

Yeah. He struggled. Like most 18-year-olds in CFB starting at QB.

I have no clue what Sam Hartman has to do with this.

I can only speak on how Moore has looked so far. Not that good. We'll see how he does next year

I would not trade Carr for him

How he looked? He was 18 starting as a true freshman QB.

He wasn't 22 like Riley Leonard is, or 24 like Same Hartman was, or 23-years-old like Dillon Gabriel is.

Give the kid time.

That's why I said we'll see. So far he didn't look good. We'll see how he looks next year.

Surprising they barely let him play or throw this year.

I just looked it up and surprisingly there are no billionaire alums at ND (at least not publicly known ones) .. there are a lot of hundred-millionaires though.

If this is what Patirish was calling out being false then he's correct.

(just wanted to correct the record)

The point I was making about ND being one of the wealthiest college football teams in the country still stands though.

It is not endless. In a bidding war the state schools will ultimately prevail over the private schools because they can route the taxpayer's money.

Chase, you do understand that ND is not able to fund NIL payments? The endowment and merchandise sales are irrelevant.

Likewise, your criticism of facilities missed the mark, that was already identified and we’re well underway to building a top notch center.
