It's right around the corner and we need some chatter. The Yankees are an interesting team this year. If their SP's stay healthy I could see them getting into the playoffs. Especially with the bull pen they have assembled. Their hitters? I just wish they would give up on Texiera being anything other than a bench guy at this point. The fact they actually planned on starting Drew at second was laughable. They did get a pretty good defensive SS who can't hit. Arod needs no explanation. Headley I have really no clue what they see besides a .230 hitter and a good glove. Ellsbury should be fine. Gardner will be so so. Guy is possibly a worse instinctual base runner than Bernie Williams/Jorge Posada combined. Beltran was a bad signing as he is only going to keep deteriorating. McCann I can get behind. I think he will have a pretty good year. .270 25HR & 80+ RBI's. My surprise team of the year goes to the Astros. I think they are in the playoff hunt until Mid September. I like the White Sox to play the Bo Sox in the AL and the Cardinals to play the Nationals.
