WOW. Sunday @ midnight I was in excruciating pain so I had my wife drive me to the ER. Turned out it was 3 kidney stones, 2 in my left side and one in my right. I thought it was my appendix, but I guess I am lucky it turned out to be kidney stones. I ended up getting a shot of Morphine and an anti-nausea one as well and they sent me home @ 7 AM. After having a CT scan and finding out all of this wonderful info. they told me that the one on my right side is the problematic one. It is the one that has been causing all the pain. It measured at 5 MM and he told me that it would pass in 1-3 days. What a big mistake to believe that!!!
Well I got out of there feeling a tad better got my script for Oxycodone-Acetaminaphine 10-325 filled and some Flomax (as a dilator). 4 days later Been drinking the hell out of water and just started to add Lemon and Apple cider vinegar to it as I saw and read many great things about those 2 helping with stones. Going back to see a Urologist on Monday morning and have a Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) procedure scheduled on the afternoon IF the stones have not passed by then.
My question is, has anyone here ever had stones and has anyone had this lithotripsy performed?
Does anyone have any stories or knowledge on this subject or advice you want to pass on? Recovery time?
How much did you spend on procedure? I've seen up to 40- 60k. I've seen as little as 4k.
Any info and all comments welcome.
