Terribly sad state of amateur athletics, imo.

Only $5M per year?

Pittance, Deion is paying $50M annually and still losing starters and 5 stars

This is where the industry is going. If you get offered by a school and you are a top 100 prospect you are going to become an insta-millionaire

Given how hard these kids work through school and development as athletes these days it's a well deserved reward. And if they lose their head on the football field they'll be set for life regardless.

Im sure there are a lot of potential corporate sponsors wanting to contribute to NDs NIL fund. Say what you want about ND but they still have a lot of passionate fans from coast to coast which would make them instantly popular with any potential corporate sponsors/NIL contributors on the national level
