There's a guy currently participating who just went over a $1 million in winnings and shows no signs of slowing down. His per-day average is well over that of legendary Jeopardy champ Ken Jennings. I believe he has the seven highest single day totals. He seems like a pretty decent guy, not like the stereotypical Jeopardy egghead. Moreover, he probably knows more about sports than anyone on this board, as his career entails being a professional sports gambler. Looks like the only way he'll lose is by a fluke.
