Colin listed the top 10 teams in all of sports that control the landscape

1 Dallas Cowboys
2 LA Lakers
3 New York Yankees
4 Ohio St Football
5 Notre Dame Football
6 Duke Basketball
7 Bostons Celtics
8 Green Bay Packers
9 Pittsburgh Steelers
10 Chicago Cubs

With all the negative posts and threads around here the last 4 months this reminded me of why we are all so bitter but yet so hopeful every year... ND football despite not winning a title in decades is still ND Football and lures in viewers and interest across the country.

We get bids to bowls others wouldn't with better teams for ratings, we have the largest fan base in the country, we have our own TV contract, still bring in top 10 recruiting classes...But yet we haven't found the coach to get it done since Lou.But here we are still completely relevant and pissing it all away on below average coaching.

We are the only team that could go 4-8 and still be talked about more than 90% of the other teams..... Don't know if that is a good thing or not....

they don't talk about ND based upon the ladt 30 years; ND was built as is before 1957!

and if anyone wants to take that for granted then they will soon enough be bitched slapped back into reality!
ND is not entitled to anything. It gets earned and once it no longer can earn status it will quickly drop by the wayside.

Right now no one gives a dam about ND football except us. When ND is at the top of their game I would agree with them controlling the landscape. Not now. Look around. College football is doing just fine without a dominant ND football program. If they get the right coach they can get back to the top. The reality is, no one really cares outside of ND nation.

There's a reason a sub .500 team is on television every week=Notre Dame Football. There are only a few teams in all of sports that you either love or hate. I've never understood that about ND Football until I joined these message boards. If the administration had the passion of it's fan base, ND would still be setting first in all times wins and percentage. No ND coach would stay long enough to accumulate 20 much less 30 or more loses--not even Lou Holtz.

In all of sports? That's obviously just American sports. Even then I don't see how The lakers are high. They are only 13th or something in attendance this year. And when they were good they aren't even in the top 10.
