Just chatted for several minutes with four-star Schertz (Texas) Clemens WR Tommy Bush and his in-home visit with Notre Dame OC Chip Long and WR coach Delvaughn Alexander/his overall renewed interest in Notre Dame.
Story on the way, but here's some nuggets from our conversation.
***As I mentioned in the first thread on Bush tonight, an official visit date has not been set. Bush has already taken trips to Nebraska and Michigan State, and will head to Athens this weekend for a trip to UGA. After that, he'll have two OVs left, and the Irish staff is certainly pushing for him to use one on a trip to Notre Dame.
***Bush said the visit with the Irish coaching staff went well. "They had a lot of good information to give out and they're very genuine," Bush said. He told me last week that he's been communicating daily with ND, so looks like there's a solid relationship there.
***A quote on the in-home visit: "This visit put them back in the picture when we started reconsidering them again. This visit, there was great information and it's actually helped us consider them a lot more seriously than we did before."
***Bush said Alexander and Long ran through the WR situation at Notre Dame, and explained to Bush where he would fit at Notre Dame. The coaches also apparently told him about why they want him at Notre Dame, and Bush said "all of that was pretty great."
***Bush said he believes Notre Dame will be back to see him next week, but isn't sure just yet on when/who it will be. Brian Kelly can still go in-home with Bush should he chose to do so.
More to come.
