We're always fielding questions about the wide receivers in the transfer portal, so I did a little bit of digging today on Arizona State's Ricky Pearsall.
I've confirmed there is mutual interest between Pearsall and Notre Dame, so we will continue to monitor how that develops. Pearsall entered the transfer portal last week.
First up for Pearsall will be a visit to Florida on Friday. Jason Higdon of our Florida site, 1st And Ten Florida, confirmed that with me. Mike Farrell suggested that Pearsall may be visiting Auburn the following weekend, but I haven't been able to confirm that yet.
The 6-1, 200-pound Pearsall led Arizona State with 48 receptions last season for 580 yards and four touchdowns. Pearsall, who will be a senior this fall, also rushed six times for 44 yards and one touchdown. He played in all 30 of ASU's games the past three seasons.
Pearsall was a three-star recruit out of Tempe (Ariz.) Corona Del Sol in the 2019 class. Arizona State was his only reported Power Five offer.
