The road games have not been kind to ND
Game Day games have not been kind to ND
Temple is 7-0.
I'm worried this one looks too much like the UVA game...

ND 34
Temple 24

Who do you have and why?

ND 28 - Temple 26 - Temple coach has brain fart and goes for two after first TD.

Could anyone give the cliff notes version of what Temple's game is this year? They're 7-0...how did they get there? Def, running game, dynamic dual-threat QB...?

QB averages 187 yards passing per game/60% completion/9 TDs and 3 INTs. Top RB has 822 yards so far with average of 5 yards per carry.

ND 38
Temple 21

Their QB is a dual threat. Good arm from what I recall. They'll run sets with two backs and run iso (a staple of pro style offenses), but they spend a lot of time in shotgun. Inside zone run (something ND does a lot of) and I'm pretty sure they will do the zone read off that look as well.

Defensively they base out of a 4-3 cover three. They'll also rush three and drop 8 playing covee three.

I'll watch some more closely at some point.

If we can stay away from the turnovers, I don't think they can score w/ us. Be aware of the trick plays, been burned in multiple games so the DBs need to be on high alert. (ND wins 34-21, 31-20 range)

Notre Dame 52 to 17 over Temple. (The committee will like it)
The Irish D scores a TD and sets up a couple of short fields for the offense. The offense will play lights out.
Jaylon Smith and the boys are going to bring their A game and not stop until after the Championship game.

“Well, you know, Joe has been a cleanup hitter for us, if you will, and we don't want to take him out of the lineup,” Kelly said of the captain...."

Listening to the Notre Dame football talk show on WSBT radio this afternoon, the two hosts spent at least a half hour discussing the problems with the Irish defense. Everything from Joe Schmidt to Max Redfield to KeiVarae Russell to bad tackling to blown assignments to giving up the big play. Mixed in the conversation were BKs thoughts on those subjects. The numbers on our defense don't lie. This defense has very good athletes but for some reason they are not jelling as a unit. This won't fly if they want to make a serious play-off run. BVG and his kids have Temple, Pitt, WF, and BC to hammer out a play-off worthy defense. Four teams who do not possess prolific offenses. So, with the Temple offense not exactly geared for TDs, our defensive unit should start to find their way back to pre-season expectations by playing a 60 minute game against the owls. I love the latest installment of the Showtime series(USC episode) where BK tells KR that if he doesn't start turning back on the ball, he is going to sit. The cause and affect of BKs message was a much better second half for KR. They all have it in them. Now, just do it.

Temple has good Receiving Yards with different receiving about 7. Remember ND must tackles very well vs Temple.
Sometime Temple defense line play very well on 4th quarter. Kizer must pass up to 4-5 sec or Temple going to sack him.I guess CJ P. have great night vs Temple.
ND 52
OWLS 24

Looks like fag boy Pers is on the wrong thread again.. Oh yea, he hi-jacks every GD thread on this board spewing his Assisine agenda making it unreadable.

38-21 ND

ND - 42 Temple - 10 Was debating on Temple not scoring any points but there have been several games where the Irish fall asleep in the first 10 minutes and allow the opposing team to get an easy touchdown. Go Irish! On another note - Wow, has this site changed! Haven't been here for awhile and I am starting at the beginning again.

ND finally starts fast and leads 24 to 7 at the half.

Temple makes a 2nd half push to close it to 7. Irish rally and win going away by 10.

Final ND 34 to 24.

ND37-T24 error filled game. (ND has slight let dwn and coming out of slight mid season battle fatigue)

I'm a lifelong ND fan who lives in Philly.
I'm so sick of the media down here Temple this Temple that.
We need to start fast and run them off the field.
Go Irish 40- 13 the good guys.

I see something like 31-10. I want to see ND strike hard and fast. Expect Temple to regroup and make a game of it for awhile.

My fear is Temple getting a quick start and getting to Kizer who has gotten used to holding the ball for ages because of generally good pass protection.

In any event, barring some major injuries, I see us winning by 10 or more.
