Predicting The Next Head Coach For College Football

Andrew Holleran

Notre Dame

Next coach:
Urban Meyer Current role: Ohio State’s head coach

Does Urban Meyer have any reason to ever leave Ohio State? Not really. The
Buckeyes are one of – if not, the - best college football program in the country.
He's won 50 games in four seasons, including the national title in 2014. He’s
from Ohio and, clearly, is very happy in his current role.
Notre Dame is the only college job he could leave Ohio State for. And, in three to
four years, it’s something that could happen.

By then, his youngest son, Nate, will have graduated high school. He’ll have been at Ohio State for seven or eight years. He’ll have won at least one national championship (and probably a couple others).

Meyer has long called Notre Dame his dream job. He spent five seasons with the Fighting Irish as a wide receivers coach.

Could he turn Notre Dame down if he feels like he’s done all he could at Ohio State?

Heartley (Hunk) Anderson is more likely. With a staff of Edw. Lonergan, J.C. Marks and Louis (Red) Salmon

He inherited a 6-7 osu team and went undefeated in his first year. He is 50-4 with a NC and 3 major bowl appearances (winning 2). (They went 12-0 in his first year and did not appear in a bowl.) His 4 year loss record has less losses than 3 of kelly's seasons.... kelly stinks.

If you had a choice to

A.) keep Kelly

or

B.) go with Urban Meyer

which would you choose?

What is the point of this thread other than to stir up tired old BS? Urban had his chance - he passed. He wasn't up to the challenge that UND presents. BK accepted the challenge and has had us in a NC game as well as in the hunt. Maybe one could ask how would BK do if he were the head coach of Ohio State?
