Going to be interesting to say the least. I think ND can match up well with the run game and containing Elliott (notice I said CONTAIN, not STOP), but it is our secondary that scares me (just like in the Fiesta Bowl in 2006).
Ya, I'm sure the ND players aren't upset about missing the playoff either. Good news is were getting some sorely missed injured players back, including Jarron Jones, or best player on defense. Ohio State has not played an offense like ours all year. ND has played a hard schedule and these players know how to battle. You're in for a fight.Jesus may save your soul, but Touchdown Jesus isn't saving your team. Meyer puts a chip on tOSU's shoulder after missing the playoff, and they play with attitude.
tOSU 35, ND 21
Go Bucks!!
It will be nice to have Jarron Jones back for him. Being able to rotate that position will be HUGE!Yeah, Ezekiel Elliott is a load!
6', 225
1672 yds.
6.4 yds. av.
19 TD's
Containing him will be a supreme challenge for the ND D
that's some solid analysis there . well played.Well, at least your coach will have his mind on the game instead of the concession stand, so there's that...
I think the month + rest will do wonders for the Irish who are all banged up.
People forget we have three Olineman who have been playing with high ankle sprains. They still have done great. I expect the Irish to run the ball with Adams, Prosise, Kizer and Dexter Williams to move the chains and rest our maligned defense kind of like last years LSU game. With a couple of bombs to Fuller, a couple of dumpoffs to Carlisle and Hunter and a few passes down the middle to Durham Symthe and Corey Robinson. And Chris Brown will make a nice catch or two being in his last game as a nd player.
Jaylon Smith will mirror O States best player and the Dline with Sheldon Day, Jarron Jones, Jerry Tillery, Isaac Rochelle, Daniel Cage, Bonner, Trumbetti and Okwara will wreak havoc all night in Ohio States backfield.
With all that said--Ohio State is a great team and will make plays.
I don't predict anymore (too upsetting to IrishJack) but I FORSEE a
37 to 35 Irish victory with Justin Yoon kicking a 48 yard field goal as time expires !
Also of note Coach Kelly has the team go for two when the Irish are down 35 to 32 to make it 34 to 35 before the game winning kick (Buguit starts a thread early berating Coach Kelly for using his card again and he keeps arguing about the call even after the ND victory.
Many fights break out on this board the night we should be celebrating the Irish victory. Should Kelly have gone for two when a extra point kick puts us within two points anyway?---to most it doesn't make sense but the Irish actually win despite of it. Coach Kellys genius pays off!!
Just because Elliot shredded Meatchickens defense to well over 200 yards doesn't mean they will do it to ND. Remember, we did keep the Heisman candidate Mcaffey (sp?) to under 100 yards.Ohio State 38
ND 23
I think the combination of Barrett and Elliott will shred Notre Dame's defense even with JJones in the lineup.
Ohio State - 51
Notre Dame - 16
Elliott will run for 260 yards
I'm sure Jaylon Smith, you know the All American Butkus award wining linebacker, might have something to say about that.Ohio State - 51

We shall see, won't we???I'm sure Jaylon Smith, you know the All American Butkus award wining linebacker, might have something to say about that.
So your prediction is 51-16 and over 260 yards rushing also lol? Wow, are these bucknut fans deliriously funny! We shall see, won't we???
I'm thinking one half of dumb and dumber! LOLAre you Joe the plumber ?
I'm sure Jaylon Smith, you know the All American Butkus award wining linebacker, might have something to say about that.
No, I just said we will see. I'm thinking more like 35 - 21/24 OSU, and I could see Elliot getting 150+. But we'll see...So your prediction is 51-16 and over 260 yards rushing also lol? Wow, are these bucknut fans deliriously funny!
Ok, I can accept that. I don't think anyone has rushed that many yards on ND but if anyone could it would be Elliot. I'm thinking the score will be ND 35 OSU 27. OSU has not seen an offense like ND's this year. It will come down to who's secondary plays the best. No, I just said we will see. I'm not the one predicting 260+ yards from one player either.Actually Ohio State's middle LB Raekwon McMillian is not too bad also. I believe he finished 1 spot ahead of Smith in tackles this year, he might have something to say about the game along with a guy named Bosa.
Always comes down to the lines. Kizer needs time/protection....Elliot needs holes.Ok, I can accept that. I don't think anyone has rushed that many yards on ND but if anyone could it would be Elliot. True story: Last year tOSU beat three Heisman finalists (including the Heisman winner) in the postseason. Individual awards mean little in this context.see butkus award.
kybuck, do you think bosa will try to line up against stanley ? i'll be curious.True story: Last year tOSU beat three Heisman finalists (including the Heisman winner) in the postseason. Individual awards mean little in this context.
I'm not familiar with your personnel, but tOSU moves Bosa all around: inside, outside, right, left. He'll probably be lined up over everyone except your center at some point in the game.kybuck, do you think bosa will try to line up against stanley ? i'll be curious.
