Notre Dame first-year special teams coach Brian Mason is one of 51 nominees for the Broyles Award, it was announced on Tuesday.

Semifinalists will be announced next Tuesday, finalists on Nov. 29 and the winner on Dec. 6. The only previous winner for Notre Dame has been defensive coordinator Bob Diaco in 2012.
