Notre Dame wide receivers coach Mike Brown's search for prospects in the 2026 class reached into Rochester, N.Y. on Tuesday.

Messiah Hampton, a junior at James Monroe High, received an offer from Notre Dame. He tweeted a photo of former Notre Dame defensive end Jamir Jones with his Notre Dame offer announcement. Jones and older brother Jarron Jones came to Notre Dame from Rochester.

Hampton, a four-star recruit, impressed at the Under Armour Next Camp in Miami on Sunday. Rivals ranks Hampton as the No. 24 wide receiver and No. 166 overall in the 2026 class. He caught 56 passes for 869 yards and eight touchdowns last season.

Hampton recently spoke to Rivals about scheduling four official visits to Miami (May 30-June 1), Ohio State (June 6-8), Oregon (June 13-15) and USC (June 20-22).
