Four-star athlete Paris Melvin Jr., a 2026 recruit at Cypress (Texas) Springs, reported a Notre Dame offer Wednesday. Irish running back coach Ja'Juan Seider was recruiting in the Houston area.
Melvin has more than 30 offers on a list that also includes Texas A&M, Arizona State, Florida, Michigan and Oklahoma. Rivals ranks him as the No. 12 athlete in the 2026 class.
Melvin did most of his damage as a running back as a junior. He rushed 147 times for 1,091 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also caught 22 passes for 352 yards and three touchdowns.
