I'm hearing that Notre Dame is recruiting NC State graduate transfer cornerback Nick McCloud, who would have just one year left of eligibility, and the Irish may actually be in pretty good position to land him.
I'm told that Notre Dame is one of a few schools mainly in contact with him. He was hoping to take some visits, but that's certainly up in the air. He may make a decision without visiting any schools.
McCloud picked NC State back in the 2016 class. He was a key part of NC State's defense in 2018 as he recorded two interceptions and eight pass break ups.
McCloud only played in two games in 2019 due to a knee injury. He's played three season, and 2019 was a redshirt year for him, giving hime one more year of eligibility.
