The high school football season – at least in some states – opens this week, and there are a handful of Notre Dame commits in action. Here's a quick rundown of who plays who.
Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy teammates Tony Jones and Spencer Perry play host to American Heritage Plantation on Saturday. Jones, who ran for 771 yards last season, is slated to be the feature back on a team that has more FBS prospects than some entire states. Perry will be making his debut at safety for the Ascenders after playing last season in Alabama. American Heritage is led by three-star defensive end Brian Burns.
Orlando (Fla.) Bishop Moore four-star offensive tackle Parker Boudreaux will open play against Ocoee High on Friday. Boudreaux missed the first couple practices of camp while recovering from an operation to improve his sinuses. He'll get the start at left tackle against a team that went 2-8 last season.
St. Petersburg (Fla.) Northside Christian School three-star offensive lineman Dillan Gibbons faces Seffner Christian at home, while Charlotte (N.C.) Ardrey Kell four-star defensive end Julian Okwara will get the start against Weddington High on Friday.
