I don't know how anyone could favor us against anyone right now.

Because Stanford just got curb stomped by the state of Washington on consecutive weeks, have not been competitive.

Kelly after realizing too late that a passing game doesn't work in a hurricane, is going to plan to run against Stanford, a team that is woefully short on DBs due to injuries. He will later (after the game) realize he should have passed more.
That may be the case but Stanford has been getting blown out....by like over 30 points. I think Stanford fans would say the same thing if Stanford was favored, how could they be favored after the last 2 weeks.
It will be a beautiful day to tailgate, spend the day on campus, and watch our Irish. Weather looks perfect for Saturday. Live life. Go to the game and have a ball. Enjoy DK, EQ, Daelin Hayes, Dexter and the other great talent we have. The lads need your support.
This game will prove how bad Kelly and staff are. Game films are right there from Stan last two losses to teams with good passing games. If the ND staff does not learn from this it will confirm how incompetent they are.

honestly, Stanford is not a good team. they have winning record but they are bad. Unlike the Irish they have not recruited overall well. They no depth. They have a lot of injuries. As I said on previous posts on this subject and others like cvgr posted this game is very winnable for the Irish. In fact I like the Irish in this game and predict the Irish beat the Cardinal and lose to navy. First of all Shaw is not great recruiter to me typical of most coaches @ Stanford they usually get players that want the Stanford Degree, These players come to Shaw not the opposite. So look @ the recruiting rankings. Shaw now has to piece together a rag tag defense that can not stop the pass. Their run defense is not much better. The Irish should be able to score at will. The Stanford Offense has been bad they cannot run the ball believe it or not. McCaffery is injured and is a game time decision. The o-line is nowhere what was last year. They are having the same problems Harry H is having and I have my doubts about him. Their pass game is generally not existent they have average receivers at best and below average QB. This Stanford team in essence is just a little better than Syracuse and this point in the season may be able to beat the Cardinal. So all those Shaw lovers he would be Willingham part II if recruited to coach the Irish.
They are also better than Washington State and McCaf played in most of that game.
That number might change with the Spectre of McCafferty possibly not playing
