Or how to take it but, over on 247 under the fb recruiting tab they have recruiter rankings and ND does not have one coach in the top 25. The highest was Mike Easton at 29 and Chip Long at 45. Like I said not sure what to make of it

They rank each coach according to his responsibilities as a primary or regional recruiter. The more individual recruits that he lands, and the higher the rankings of said recruits, the higher 247 ranks him as a recruiter. Just as class rankings are built on recruiting success, so too are the rankings of the coaches who recruited them. Positional coaches / coordinators tend to populate this list for the most part. Rarely are head coaches the primary recruiters for players, assistants tend to be.
It's also a terribly skewed ranking to some degree because the rankings is based on who the players tell writers and reporters their primary recruiter is. So a school like Miami, which is essentially just mining Dade County and the neighboring areas for talent is listing Mark Richt as the primary recruiter for the area, but that's wildly untrue. At Miami, all the coaches recruiting that area.

Maybe taking a wait and see approach to all of our new staff members, and not enough track record for guys like Denson and Lyght?Or how to take it but, over on 247 under the fb recruiting tab they have recruiter rankings and ND does not have one coach in the top 25. One of the reasons that Richt was fired at Georgia was his on-field results not matching his recruiting success. He brought in one killer class after another at Georgia.Best recruiter at this moment is Mark Richt, HC at Miami with 13 four stars and one five star. Of course, things will change as the year rolls on but you've got to hand it to Richt in basically his second year of recruiting!

Similar, though I think Richt is a better runner of a program than Weis was. Richt is a genuinely very nice thoughtful guy, and both parents and kids are very comfortable with him.Kind of sounds like coach Weis
Sounds like a same problem a lot of teams have well it seems LSU gives as good as they getRicht had one very problem at Ga.
Saban/Alabama
Richt's downfall was having nemeses Tennessee and Florida having their programs hit the skids at the same time, and Georgians watching Missouri (twice) and South Carolina winning the SEC East. The prevailing thought was that Georgia should have dominated the weaker side of the SEC for the past six or seven years, and they only won it once, in 2012.Richt had one very problem at Ga.
