Kelly teams at ND are known for turnovers though this seasons seemed to have gotten better controlling the ball.......well till the last two games
I don't believe ND will be invited to a major bowl

So what exactly is the coaches job/responsibility? So if ND creates a turnover, great coaching. If ND has turnovers, it's not Kelly's fault. BW has been at ND three seasons. It's the coaches job to develop him. Stupid penalties at the end of the game in the red zone, that equals undisciplined.

It's Kelly's fault that our QB whom people are complaining about has a position coach with ZERO experience and a long history of turning the ball over as a player ..... it is his fault that our offensive game plan is 75% one play .... Kelly is garbage
I bet you a significant amount will be quietly rooting to lose in hopes of a change. You're crazy if you think that's not true.

I've been wrestling with this thought all day. I want Kelly gone even if that means losing the bowl game. Sooner the better. Unfortunately I know he is going nowhere.
Then you're crazy. A part of a lot of people will be secretly looking for the Irish to fail now so the bad issues look even worse, IN hopes it's bad enough to get change.

Either tOSU or Ala. might be available as an opponent. This is the kind of game ND needs and needs to win.
ND needs a big time opponent.

I am hoping for East Carolina, the worst D in FBS, hopefully BW can practice some zone reads and hit the open receiver. His confidence is about par with Malik Zaire right now.
Michigan, South Carolina, and other schools ranked 12 - 30 are likely opponents. I like a big name like the two mentioned and either game here would excite the ND fans.

USCe is not going to get the attention a ND win must generate.
It has to be a higher ranked team that ND is viewed as upsetting.

It's tough to think this way because there are so many young men who have done everything the "adults" have told them to do in order to push themselves and prepare them for the next step. Whether that next step is a backup role, pushing for a starting role, pushing for position dominance, pushing for a draft position.
But at the end of the day, there's a number of really good student athletes who are just waiting for the right person to steer them in the right direction towards national prominence. If Kelly leaves/gets booted, what happens to our players and our depth? I like our team. I don't want to see our athletes leave, although it happens every year for one reason or another. A bowl loss and a significant move to decommit from ND could cripple the program for 2-3 years. If all of that happens and there isn't a head coach change then it's a possible 5-7 year turnaround timeframe once they finally pull the trigger on a new warm body at HC.

Did you notice the Stanford defense ranking before the game? Something like 103rd against the run, and they stuffed us!
I understand how you feel. However, I love college football and I love Notre Dame. For those reasons, I will look forward to seeing ND in a bowl and hope that the first half of the season ND shows up vs the second half of the season ND.
