Notre Dame, 27-1 overall and 15-0 in the ACC, is looking to clinch its third consecutive outright Big East regular season title in s many tries when it hosts Boston College this afternoon at 1 inside Purcell Pavilion. The game can be seen streamed live on WatchND (watched.tv). Head coach Muffet McGraw's Irish are also after their fifth overall conference championship, dating back to the last two seasons of the Big East in 2012 and 2013.

Three seniors will be honored a half-hour before the game: Madison Cable (13.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game), Michaela Mabrey (7.0 points and 2.6 assists per game) and Hannah Huffman, a defensive stopper who averages 2.3 points and rebounds per contest. Huffman is expected to get her second straight start while sophomore Kathryn Westbeld recuperates from an ankle injury suffered at Florida State on Monday. The Irish don't have to play again until the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament next Friday

The Eagles, 14-14 overall and 2-13 in ACC play, play a slow-down, milk-the-clock game, averaging 59.9 points while holding foes to a 58.4 average. In their earlier meeting at BC on Jan. 14, the Irish won 63-50, led by freshman Marina Mabrey's 14 points (6-of-10 shooting) and Brianna Turner's 13 rebounds. The Eagles, though out-gunned, have been competitive in many games, including losses to the Irish and other ranked ACC foes such as Syracuse (62-61), Louisville (55-45) and Miami (67-62), although it did get thrashed 75-42 at Florida State.

Notre Dame played uninspired during Thursday's 71-52 win over a 4-24 Clemson team, so McGraw is looking for a little more fire to cap another glittering regular season. Look for this one to be a 20-plus point win.
